Corn Grove
༶•┈┈୨♡୧┈┈•༶
A little rural-style community inhabited by tiny chicks, hens, and roosters who love honeycore aesthetics.
Features of Corn Grove:
Turn 1: 8 of Hearts
A new acupuncture clinic has recently opened in Corn Grove. I see two hens, who are close friends, talking to each other right after getting a treatment there. The subject of Pillow Fort Day was brought suddenly (as they are both mothers): the red hen said to the brown hen that her tween daughter would definitly love this place, as she recently made vocal to her mom that Pillow Fort Day "isn't in (her) vibes".
Turn 2: 2 of Hearts
Some villagers are volunteering to help Marco and his family unbox their remaining personal stuff at their new house. I see Marco's twin sons, Alfred and Matthew, playing with the volunteers's kids. Because it was Pillow Fort Day, those little chicks made an impromptu fort out of the leftover cardboard boxes that the adults don't need anymore. The young kids are all nibbling on some homemade fried corn kernels, and enjoying the moment.
Turn 3: 7 of Hearts
To prioritize local economy, the community finally unveilled a "sustainable strip mall" built on an already existing road inside the village. Besides the bakery, the tearoom, and the acupuncture clinic, it now includes a post office, a grocery store, and a hardware store. These are all locally owned and operated. The citizens of Corn Grove are much happier to have these new types of services closer to home. I see that this specific road quickly gets casually nicknamed to "the light strip" by the locals, because of the solar panel accumulators installed on each buildings.
Turn 4: Queen of Hearts
Marco's wife, Anna, has come back from her long spiritual retreat. I see that she now offers various energy healing modalities inside Marco's business.
Turn 5: Ace of Hearts
A group of hens started a book club! I see this club began when a local used-book store has recently opened. They all don't read the same book, but hey, that's the point of "used-book club"...
Turn 6: 4 of Hearts
A local rooster named Earl got united to Georgia, his hen fiance. It's a traditional westernized wedding, but much secular? The ceremony is held outdoors. I see that a CB friend of his, Ronald, already came directly from Beak Cove (the twinning town) as his best man for the wedding. After the ceremony, the two lovebirds will go out of town for a few weeks worth of cross country road trip during their honeymoon.
Turn 1: 10 of Diamonds
There is a huge abundance of native wild strawberries! I see that the villagers running the tearoom started to offer a brand new product: fruit-infused kombucha (the strawberry one is one of their first attempts).
Turn 2: 9 of Diamonds

- Honey Festival: a week-long Autumnal celebration of all things honey, and to bring gratitude for the year's bountiful harvest from the local farms [occurs on the fourth turn in Autumn season; takes 3 turns to prepare]
- The Sisters of Fate Night: a local supertition where, on the darkest night of the year, lovestruck critters would stargaze to see if they can see The Sisters of Fate (our Orion's Belt btw)... if they can clearly see those stars, they'll soon meet their true love next year (those who aren't looking for love would instead make other types of wishes for themselves and/or others) [occurs on the second turn in Winter season; takes 1 turn to prepare]
